Quality
At Fraser Specialty Products, we stand by the quality of our products because we source our F-Siding boards and F-Shingle cedar shingles from premium mills in Quebec and New Brunswick. All materials are re-graded prior to and after the staining process in our own facility. From raw material to finished product, our products stringently checked throughout our manufacturing process to meet our high quality standards.
Shingles kiln-dried to optimal moisture levels in our state-of-the-art
dehumidification kiln. We then process the raw materials, which
includes cutting and/or molding the product into the design or profile
you
have selected for your project. From there the product is either
ready to be shipped in its natural, unfinished state or will continue
through Cabot’s factory finish process.

Warranty
Fraser Specialty Products F-Siding and F-Shingle products are manufactured following a strict production process. For best results, Fraser Specialty Products recommends a Factory Finish for its products.
Factory-Finishing for singles and siding, when they are
coated on all sides, stabilizes the moisture content
of the
wood,
thereby reducing excessive shrinkage and swelling of
the material. Factory
Finishing assures a longer lasting
and higher quality job than traditional on site applications
because proper spread rates are maintained for maximum
coverage protection.

If installed according to Fraser Specialty Products’s installation guidelines, the products carry the following warranties against defects:

Factory Finish |
- 5/18 year extendible warranty
- 18 years on two factory finish coats / 5 years on single factory finish coat
- Against cracking, peeling, blistering, yellowing, eroding and exposing of substrate
- Extendible by another 15 years if two coats of Cabot’s “The Finish” with Teflon Surface Protector is applied before the end of the original warranty
